Outside Passing and Footlocks with Isaac Doederlein
Join us for two hours with one of the most decorated featherweights in modern jiu-jitsu, Isaac Doederlein.
A black belt under Rubens “Cobrinha” Charles and a competitor for Alliance, Isaac is an IBJJF World Champion, a two-time Brazilian Nationals champion, and a European Open champion. He remains one of only three Americans ever to win the Brazilian Nationals – and he has won it twice.
What You’ll Learn
This seminar covers the two areas Isaac has built his own competition game on: getting around the legs, and finishing at the feet.
Rather than a collection of moves, you’ll learn how the passing and the leg attacks connect. Expect to leave with a passing sequence that has somewhere to go when it stalls.
What he’s known for
Outside Passing and the Leg Drag
The leg drag is Isaac’s signature position, and it is the engine of his passing. Learn how he creates the angle, kills the legs, and converts the position into control rather than a scramble.
The Straight Ankle Lock
Twenty-six of Isaac’s career submission wins have come by straight ankle lock - his second most-frequent finish at the highest level. He’ll teach the entries, the breaking mechanics, and why the simplest leg attack in the sport still works on black belts.
Isaac’s record stands at 124 wins with 58% by submission, across IBJJF Worlds, Pans, Europeans and the Brazilian Nationals, and most recently on the UFC BJJ card in 2025. This is a rare chance to learn a system directly from the person who has been proving it in competition for over a decade.
Two hours, one Saturday afternoon. Limited spots.
