Has Evolved at
Field Assembly

Hey friend, it’s been a minute.

We hope life’s been treating you well. And truly, we’ve been thinking of you. A lot has changed at Field Assembly since you last trained with us.

Not just equipment or class formats - but how we coach, why sessions are structured the way they are, and how the community has grown.

If you’ve been curious about coming back, or just wondering what training looks like now, here’s a snapshot of what’s been happening.

Our new approach

Drills

We use drills to move well before moving fast. They build mechanics that make running more efficient and more sustainable:

  • Cleaner running mechanics

  • Better coordination and movement quality

  • Less unnecessary strain (often what leads to injury)

  • The goal is to move well first - speed comes later.

Zone 2

Zone 2 is the engine you can rely on. With a developed Zone 2 engine, endurance becomes calm.

Zone 2 helps build:

  • Aerobic base and mitochondrial efficiency

  • Relaxation under movement

  • Mid-run recovery

  • The ability to go long without blowing up

  • For many people, this completely changes how running feels.

Our Zone 2 runs often look like relaxed group outings - roaming the city, exploring new routes, and moving together.

Tempo work

Tempo sessions teach you how to stay composed while working in uncomfortable zones.

This is what turns race pace from something overwhelming into something recognisable - effort you’ve already practiced managing.

Intervals

Intervals teach your legs to move faster without losing form and tiring out. With Intervals, we train:

  • Cadence and turnover

  • VO₂ max

  • Coordination and rhythm

Speed becomes something you can use, not something that wrecks you.

The Community

Last but not least: with a community behind you, hard sessions feel shared, and progress becomes sustainable.

You’re surrounded by people showing up consistently, supporting each other, and growing together.

Running has become a big part of our community.

Over the past year, many of our members signed up for their first 10Ks, half marathons, and full marathons.

What helped them improve wasn’t simply running more - it was understanding the mix of training styles runners actually need.
